Magical Universe Lore
*SPOILER WARNING FOR THE WITCH'S MARCH*
In continuation of sharing my books' universe lore, I thought we'd focus on Kit Arkill, the love interest in Belladonna Moon. He was really fun to write for a lot of reasons, but thinking of him outside the book was also fun because the guy's immortal!
- When Hattie Lange (the protagonist of The Witch's March) disappeared, Kit technically worked for the Bylilly Coven. However, he worked for the Lange Coven for quite a while before the events of Belladonna Moon, so they reached out & asked for his help in finding her. He was able to track her to the airport & knew she flew to Germany, but that's where he lost her! Which, safe to say, greatly annoyed our favorite hunter.
- Even though Mercy Penrose is a powerful witch, she's not immortal, so she unfortunately does pass away before him... but those of you who've read the novel may remember a certain artifact called the Kissing Gate 😉 Not even Death can separate these two!
- So, our favorite daemon basically lives in their old apothecary. The residential part saved a room for him, but the rest became a meeting place for their coven & is a designated historical site. He basically hangs out there, acting as the current family head's chief advisor, & still has regular dates with Mercy!
Driftwood Dreams Market Cancelled
Remember two weeks ago where I told you all that my sister and I would be attending Driftwood Dreams Market? Well, bad news... the organizers have cancelled it due to a mishap on their end.
As of right now, my next event will be PalmCon in mid-November. I'll share more information once it gets closer, but anyone who's curious now can click here to find out more.
Through Ivy & Thorns
She came to steal his clan's most sacred relic. She didn't plan on the blizzard. Or the man.
Elara Ashwood is a trained warrior on a mission: infiltrate enemy territory, steal the sacred key that could end a generations-old feud, and return home a hero. Disguised as a traveling herbalist, she's tracked the relic to a remote hunting lodge in the frozen Wildmoor—but a winter storm traps her there with the one man who sees through her lies.
Lachlan Thornwood is scarred, solitary, and keeper of the very key Elara seeks. He recognizes her as an Ashwood spy the moment she wakes in his lodge. He should turn her over to his father. Instead, he makes her an offer: stay through the storm, play the game, try to take the key. But if she succeeds, she'll have to kill him—because he will never stop coming for her.
What begins as a deadly battle of wits becomes something neither expected. Snowed in together for weeks, their walls crack under shared grief, reluctant respect, and a physical tension that threatens to consume them both. But Elara's mission hasn't changed, Lachaln's loyalty to his clan hasn't wavered, and in these lands, the earth itself keeps score.
When the grove demands they either seal their bond or pay in blood, Elara and Lachlan must decide what matters more: the war they were born into, or the love they never saw coming.
