We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.

KindleUnlimited Review Drive
As an author, I can't stress how much I appreciate reviews. For one thing, I love seeing if people connected with my characters and story. And of course constructive criticism is everyone's best friend, not just authors. But reviews are important for another reason, too: they give people the confidence to try a book out. That's why I'm so excited to take part in this KindleUnlimited Review Drive. Browse here now, and don't forget to leave your review after!
More Fantasy Fun
For those of you who enjoyed The Occult Invasion, I have great news! She's not the only healer in fantasy. In fact, through BookFunnel, I found over a dozen more who fit the bill! I chose to make Hattie a healer first, despite her bloodlust, because it was a spin on the fact that nurses were one of the few roles a woman could take on in the war effort. I think Marie-Louise von Franz said it best, "The healing hero, therefore, is the one who finds some creative way out, a way not already known, and does not follow a pattern." Yes, the world remembers Hattie as "Hattie the Dragonslayer", but that's not why she's a hero to the Hammocks. Thanks to Hattie, Elise has a husband, Durans and Jemima have a father, and Desdemona and Antares were born! That's all from just one of the many, many, many people she healed. You can find more healers challenging the status quo here!
