What's Next
If you've been following my newsletter, you may remember me promising certain stories. First, a novella about Albert Thys, which which will take place from the end of WWI until he reunites with Hattie. Second, a short story or novella about Norah Jane Vaughn and Athanasios Kokkinos after WWII. And don't worry! Those will still happen, but my mind has been been lost in a fictional world under the sea.
I'm not sure the order they'll be published, but the next novel I write will actually be a sapphic fantasy! I've been obsessed with mermaids since before I could remember, and I've been wanting to write about one since forever. I decided I wanted to pair her up with a pirate - because of course! - but I still couldn't imagine this pirate. He was just a vague blob. Cut to my sister saying, "What if the pirate was a woman?" And boom! I had my protagonist and the love interest, and then everything else fell into place. That's all I'll say for now, but they say a picture is worth a thousand words right? What about five?
